Two thematic programs of the freeSAT satellite platform are changing transmission parameters. The restructuring concerns the documentary station National Geographic HD and the film program, FilmBox Premium HD.
The operator of the freeSAT satellite platform, the Luxembourg company M7 Group, which is part of CANAL+, is transferring the National Geographic HD and Filmbox Premium HD channels to a new radio transmitter for technical reasons. The new modulation stations will be provided to customers by Slovak Telekom (ST).
Currently, parallel reception of both programs with old and new broadcasting parameters is possible. Parallel distribution will be carried out only until 21.4.2025. Then distribution on the old frequencies will be terminated. Then viewers have 11 days to reconfigure their set-top boxes to the new parameters. The receiver operator and users of modules with a user profile or FastScan device do not need to reconfigure the address - all this will happen automatically, without user intervention.
